Barcelona have been hot in the pursuit of a defensive midfielder capable of replacing club veteran Sergio Busquets and it seems one of the club’s transfer targets, Marcelo Brozovic could be on the move.
The Croatian midfielder is way behind in Simone Inzaghi’s plans and according to La Gazzetta, Inter are ready to open the doors for his departure in the summer if a decent offer is presented to them. This comes in a turn of events that saw Inzaghi prefer Hakan Calhanoglu to Brozovic who had already cemented his place in the Inter starting eleven a year ago.
The Turk has been a peripheral figure in Inter’s midfield and thus changed Inzaghi’s decision to cash in on him and hence the Nerrazurri are keen on parting ways with Brozovic who is now deemed surplus in that Inter midfield.
Barcelona have been keenly monitoring the midfielder and have been open to his arrival at Spotify Camp Nou. However, it won’t be an easy task for them as the Garnet and the Blue face heavy competition from Chelsea and Real Madrid who are also after the 30-year-old.
Barcelona will need to move fast to get Brozovic and we can only wait and see if they will go all out for the Croatian midfielder.
