With the October international break underway, FC Barcelona are not going to play any matches for the next one and a half weeks. However, some Blaugrana players will still remain in the headlines as they play for their respective national teams.

One such player who is expected to play an important role in this international break is Lamine Yamal, who is already training with his Spanish national team squad for the upcoming match against Denmark in the UEFA Nations League.

As is the case with Barcelona, Yamal has also established himself as an integral player and a reference in the attack for the national team. As Mundo Deportivo has reported, the young winger appeared in an interview with Radio Nacional and talked about several aspects of his life with Spain and Barcelona.

Regarding his national team, one of the most notable pieces of news in the last few days has been the serious injury suffered by Dani Carvajal, who is expected to remain on the sidelines for almost the entirety of this season with an ACL injury.

Speaking in this interview, Yamal regretted the injury suffered by the Real Madrid captain, and also explained why so many players are suffering such serious injuries:

“It’s a very sad injury for the national team and for football. He’s an incredible player who has had a great year, and we will miss him a lot. We’re playing many games, but that’s what’s required of us… So we play.”

There is no doubt that the high number of games that the top players have to play is leading to such a high number of injuries. Lamine Yamal has already seen several of his Barcelona teammates suffer injuries this season, including Andreas Christensen, Marc Bernal, and Marc Andre Ter Stegen, and all of these players are out for a significant time.
