Despite their slow start to the summer transfer window, FC Barcelona seem to be picking up speed in terms of getting their desired targets. Previously, only English forward Anthony Gordon had been confirmed as an official signing, but another player’s arrival has now been confirmed as well.

While speaking to reporters outside his hotel, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona president Joan Laporta provided clarity over some of the most important topics surrounding the club at the moment. One of those pressing matters is the arrival of Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund it seems.

When asked about the player’s potential arrival at the club, Laporta basically confirmed the signing in his response directly:

“We’re very excited about Adeyemi. We’ve liked him for a long time. He’s quick, dangerous, and Deco has managed the transfer exceptionally well. The news came out when the timing was right.”

As highlighted by Laporta, Barça managed to wrap up this operation extremely quickly and efficiently. Without any problems from other clubs or any issues with Dortmund, Deco and the club were able to wrap up the transfer without any unnecessary complications.

In fact, this is somewhat similar to the way Barcelona managed to complete the Anthony Gordon transfer as well. At this point, it seems that the club wishes to continue this approach when it comes to their transfer targets, and it continues to pay off for them.

Interestingly, Adeyemi recently missed training with Borussia Dortmund as well, so it seems clear enough that his departure is imminent. Now, it is only a matter of time before he arrives at the Catalan club and begins the next chapter in his career. However, it seems likely that his arrival will not mark the last of the summer signings that the club hopes to bring in during this transfer window.
