FC Barcelona must turn their La Liga fortunes around when they return to action in January. While it’s highly unlikely that Hansi Flick will secure any new signings during the month, he could benefit from the return of two key players to the squad.

These two players will be Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen. The former is yet to play his first minutes this season, even though he has been available for the last few games now, while the latter played in the first game of the season against Valencia, and had to spend the rest of the season on the sidelines recovering from his tendinopathy.

He already trained with the rest of his Barcelona teammates on Sunday, and despite the significant time spent on the sidelines, he still retains a significant demand in the market.

This is particularly clear from a report from Mundo Deportivo, which claims that both Manchester United and Juventus have shown an interest in the player, and are willing to sign him even in January. The Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla claims that the Old Lady can make an advance for his loan in January.

The Barcelona defender enjoys quite a high demand in the Premier League, especially because he has already proven himself with Chelsea before joining Barcelona in 2022.

However, recently, Italian clubs have been particularly interested in the €20 million-rated defender, as even early in December it was reported that Juventus and Inter Milan were considering his signing.

Now, the Turin club has taken further steps in this operation, especially as two of their defenders Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal are out with long-term injuries, while Danilo can also be released in January.

Their coach, Thiago Motta, had been interested in both Araujo and Christensen, but the Uruguayan has already been ruled out for him, while the Dane’s departure looks quite feasible next month, even though he recently insisted that he will stay at Barcelona.
