With the recent Barcelona performance against Real Betis simply just being a taste of what’s to come for fans of La Blaugrana, it appears that even more positive news is coming their way as recent reports seem to be suggesting.
The 5-0 victory over Manuel Pellegrini’s Real Betis was simply a delight to watch, particularly for those fans of Barcelona that have been clamoring for attacking football since quite some time now.
However, simply because the attacking realms of Barcelona have found a rhythm of sorts, it does not mean that the defensive side of things has been forgotten.
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, FC Barcelona now has even more reason to be joyous given that Uruguayan defender Ronald Araujo took part in the latest group training held under Xavi Hernandez, a sign that his recovery is well on track and that he could feature for Barcelona quite soon.
Typically, trainings with the group are clear indications of match fitness and often mean a player is close to making their full recovery. For Barcelona and Araujo, this would imply that his expected return against Royal Antwerp in the opening clash of their UEFA Champions League Group Stage is still on track.
Having suffered an injury to the femoral biceps of his left leg in August during a training session, the player has been away for around a month already due to his recovery time and will now be looking forward to returning to his Barcelona team that looks well and truly at their best point yet this season due to tactical changes as well as new arrivals showing their class.
With Araujo soon set to return within a few days time, it leaves Pedri as the only first-team star still left to recover. However, it’s expected that the Spaniard’s recuperation will take more time, with the clash against Real Madrid in October considered the target date for his full fitness and return to action for FC Barcelona.
