As FC Barcelona prepare to reintegrate their loanees into the squad, interest from rivals is beginning to build up as the Blaugrana will be tasked to make a decision regarding the players’ future.
La Masia continues to be a breeding ground for an array of talents. Having made their mark at the esteemed academy, Nico Gonzalez and Ez Abde are two players that enjoyed varying degrees of success at their respective clubs.
As per Mundo Deportivo, Real Betis has emerged as a plausible destination for the two players, with the club contemplating the transfer of the Catalans’ starlets. Both the winger and the Barça midfielder are favored by sporting director Manuel Pellegrini and sports director Ramón Planes.
Betis is aware of the terms of a potential loan transfer for both Abde, who has excelled with Osasuna, and Nico, who has enjoyed success at Valencia, despite injuries and the difficult circumstances at Mestalla. Both of them are aware of their reliance on the market and the fact that regular game time is not guaranteed at Barcelona.
With Barcelona already possessing ample competition in midfield as well as a stacked forward line with Ferran and Fati opposed to leaving the club, options are already significantly abundant.
The midfielder currently has the most exit possibilities from Barça, who would be open to moving to Betis. Considering the Catalans’ need to sell players as the Feasibility Plan requires exit operations to be carried out, Nico has a high chance of being sold.
After the news of Carrasco’s signing being put in trouble, the likelihood of retaining Abde has also increased. The Moroccan scored several goals for his side, while also proving to be a handy addition on the road to the club’s Copa del Rey final.
