FC Barcelona have already seen two departures take place today in the form of Ansu Fati and Clement Lenglet. However, these two do not seem to be the only departures that will take place from the Catalan club today.
Ez Abde is another player who can exit Barcelona before the summer transfer window closes tonight. The player has been linked with a number of clubs throughout the summer, but Real Betis seems to be his destination for this season now.
Betis President to make personal guarantees
However, as there is only a very limited time left in the transfer window, the involved clubs will have to ensure they do not miss the deadline in order to complete this transfer. The two clubs, especially Real Betis, seem to be doing their best to ensure that this transfer is concluded before the end of the window.
This is apparent from a report by Helena Condis that claims that the President of Real Betis has decided to make a personal guarantee to La Liga in order to complete the signing of Ez Abde tonight. If La Liga approves this guarantee, Real Betis might be able to sign and register Abde in time.
Real Betis have also been facing economic problems this summer, like FC Barcelona. In fact, FC Barcelona President, Joan Laporta, himself has given personal guarantees backed by a Spanish bank, which have been approved by La Liga, to complete the signings of Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo.
A successful completion of this deal would not only help Barcelona lower their wage bill to some extent but would also lower the competition for starting spots in the forward line. Ansu Fati has already left on loan to Brighton and Hove Albion, and Abde’s departure now would create enough space for Felix to be incorporated into the squad.
