For the last few months, FC Barcelona have been deeply occupied with the issue of the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor with La Liga.

These two players were registered last summer only because of the injuries suffered by some of their other players, and thus, their registrations had to be done again with La Liga in January.

However, Barcelona was unable to generate the required amount of money for this purpose and thus missed getting them registered by the 31st December deadline.

In such a context, Diario AS reports that La Liga has already removed Dani Olmo and Pau Victor from its official website today on Wednesday after having announced these two players’ deregistrations last night.

However, Andreas Christensen, whose injury had allowed for Dani Olmo’s registration in the last summer transfer window, still remains on the La Liga website with his number 15 shirt.

Meanwhile, Barcelona had announced last night that they have also requested a new license for these two players from RFEF, while also acknowledging that La Liga does not consider them capable of playing in the domestic league matches. However, the fate of these players for matches organized by RFEF and UEFA still remains to be seen.

RFEF has not yet commented on this matter, but Olmo already published his picture on New Year’s Eve accompanied with hearts in Barcelona colors, showing his loyalty to the Blaugrana club, even though he is not registered with La Liga and has the option to become a free agent in this scenario.

For now, Barcelona have their next two matches in the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup, both of which are organized by RFEF. Thus, if they get licenses from this body, Olmo and Victor might be able to play in the coming matches in these two competitions.
