At the moment, there is a completely understood but silent agreement within FC Barcelona. The Catalan club continues to move about this season as they have previously, but a major change persists in the back of everyone’s minds. At the end of this campaign, regardless of whatever happens, Xavi will be parting ways with Barcelona.

A club legend as a player, he returned to make things right as a coach as well. Ultimately, it is safe to say his tenure as head coach at Barça did not go as smoothly as he would ideally have liked. Instead, the pressure has convincingly got to him, and it will not be long before he leaves his position vacant.

As such, Barcelona are already looking at possible replacements for the coach in the summer. Among them, names such as Roberto De Zerbi, Michel, Imanol Alguacil, and some others have surfaced as potential favorites that Barcelona would like to evaluate.

However, according to SPORT, Barcelona president Joan Laporta already has his ideal candidate in mind. A coach that he has previously also looked at as a potential Barça manager, Laporta continues to see Jurgen Klopp as the ideal arrival.

The German coach remains one of the most decorated in the world of football right now, and is admired for good reason. A specialist when it comes to building impressive projects, he has already done it in England and in Germany.

Both his Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund teams have been led to historic feats, and these achievements have led to many considering him to be among the best coaches in world football.

However, his arrival at Barcelona seems to be a bit complicated. Even though the German coach has announced that he will leave Liverpool at the end of this season, he does not plan on becoming a coach next season. He reportedly hopes for a sabbatical, and wishes to take a break from managerial duties altogether.

On the other hand, Barcelona believe they still have a chance to persuade him. Knowing that he has a liking towards Spain and was previously also one of Laporta’s favorites to take over, Barça hope to take advantage of this. Acknowledging Klopp’s admiration of the country and its football, Barça hope to use it as a pulling factor.

Moreover, the Catalan giants are aware that it will not be an easy financial pull either. Understandably, one of the world’s best coaches will demand an equally reasonable salary and also transfer demands. For this, Barcelona would reportedly be willing to give him the chance to make those decisions.

For now, Barcelona are aware that securing his services is a difficult task. However, there is still a lot of time left before the summer comes around and Xavi officially resigns. Until then, the club has time to make up their mind about a final arrival and make that decision.
