The Brazilian striker, Vitor Roque, is one of the FC Barcelona players who have a very uncertain future ahead of them. The youngster arrived at the Catalan club only in the last winter transfer window, but could not get an important role in the Blaugrana squad in the second half of 2023-24.

The former Barcelona coach, Xavi Hernandez, was clear that the Brazilian will have to play at another club for the next season. However, with Flick having replaced him as the team’s head coach, Roque will have an opportunity in the upcoming pre-season to impress his new coach and get an important role in the team for the next season.

Meanwhile, the striker is also accumulating offers from other clubs across Europe, and according to SPORT, the Italian club Lazio is the latest to have shown an interest in the Barcelona forward.

Lazio were previously close to signing the Manchester United winger, Mason Greenwood, but the club publicly admitted that the negotiations for him have broken down.

The club’s President then claimed that he had an even better player in his sights to strengthen his team’s attack, and the Italian newspaper La Repubblica claims that he was referring to Vitor Roque.

The Brazilian has already been linked with other Italian clubs like AC Milan, Inter, and Napoli, but the strongest interest in him came from the Portuguese side Porto. For now, Barcelona have put this operation on hold at least till the team returns from its pre-season tour of the USA.

Although Roque wants to stay at Barcelona, his fate will be decided by the salary cap that the Blaugrana club has. Furthermore, Nico Williams’ possible acquisition can also push the Brazilian out of the Catalan club.

The player’s entourage does not understand why Barcelona are having doubts about the player. Meanwhile, Deco also wants to retain the striker but does not want his growth and value to stagnate if he is unable to get significant minutes in the next season.
