Lewandowski: "We are improving every week"

Lewandowski spoke about his dream, his source of motivation, Pedri, Gavi, Ansu, Balde, his transfer saga, moving to Spain, learning Spanish, Gerard Romero, and the new challenge with Fc Barcelona in his recent interview.

Lewandowski on learning Spanish:

“I’m still learning Spanish and I’m starting to understand a lot now. In the dressing room, there are only 2 or 3 players who don’t understand English, but the staff and the coaches speak English, which is helpful.”

Lewandowski on Barca’s young talent:

“Gavi, Pedri, Ansu, Balde… I’m impressed to see how mature they can be at that age.”

Lewandowski on his move to Barca:

“I didn’t talk to anyone from Barcelona before moving. I was personally aware of the club I was going to and I didn’t think about what was happening in Barcelona, it’s a great challenge.”

Lewandowski on playing in La Liga:

“I’ve always wanted to play in La Liga, living in Spain was my dream, and not just in sports. I feel refreshed now.”

“Here in Spain, fans appreciate technical games more than in Germany. Here they have this euphoria, they enjoy it.”

Lewandowski on Barca’s progress:

“We are improving every week, with every game I can see the difference over the weeks, everything is on the right track.”

What if you hadn’t been a footballer:

“My dream was to sing in the theater in front of people.”

Lewandowski on pre-season with Barca:

“The pre-season under Xavi was very intense. I expected it to be easier… It was similar or even harder than it was at Bayern.”

Lewandowski on his source of motivation:

“When I’m angry, it has a positive effect on me. It motivates me more.”

Lewandowski on Gerard Romero:

“I didn’t follow exactly what was happening on the internet, I didn’t want to follow that because I didn’t need to.”
