The talents handpicked by Barcelona are some of the most exceptional young footballers. Whether that be youngsters from the academy, subsidiary, or even from other countries, only extraordinary talent is deemed worthy of the first team. However, not every special talent can be picked up by the Catalan giants.

One certain talent that the Blaugranes did not manage to pick up, while Real Madrid did, was teenage sensation Endrick. The Palmeiras striker, aged 17, is set to join the rivals of FC Barcelona in the upcoming summer transfer window of 2024.

A former legend of Barcelona, however, stated that he would have liked to have seen him don the Blaugrana colors. In a recent interview, as highlighted by AS, Endrick and former Barcelona hero Luis Suarez were present together.

Discussing various things, one of the most significant quotes captured from the words of Luis Suarez was his statement about having wanted to see Endrick at Barcelona:

“Obviously, I wanted Endrick at Barcelona, but he’s the one who has to decide and enjoy football, and football will enjoy him.”

The Uruguayan striker, who has scored 147 goals for Barcelona, even went on to compliment the youngster:

“He’s a star, still very young, taking his first steps. I think what he’s achieved this year is incredible. Brazil, Real Madrid, and football have a star for many more years.”

On the other hand, the 17-year-old striker also commended Luis Suarez as a ‘spectacular player’, stating:

“He’s a player I only saw in video games, I saw him a lot at Barcelona. I really like the goal against PSG, he goes past Thiago Silva, and David Luiz, and scores the goal. I’ve seen Suárez play a lot.”

“I learn some things from him. Seeing him arrive in Brazilian football and excel (is very good). He’s a spectacular player, I hope he has a good career ahead. And, when possible, to see him more often.”

Soon, Endrick will have to face off against FC Barcelona and fellow Brazilian Vitor Roque in La Liga. The world of European football awaits him, and the future of Brazil seems to be in safe hands. Given the combined talents of these two aspiring young strikers, La Liga and Europe are both in for a treat.
