FC Barcelona continue to look forward to sorting out their future objectives ahead of time. However, the Catalan giants have often faced a lot of problems in recent years even when doing so. The financial woes of Barcelona, in particular, have acted as their greatest barrier.

However, that does not stop Barcelona from still poking around in the hopes of finding formats or methods through which top players can be brought in. One of Joan Laporta’s great desires, reportedly, was to match Real Madrid’s possible signing of Kylian Mbappe with Barça taking away Erling Haaland of Manchester City.

However, that dream could not be made a reality because of said financial limitations. Yet, despite that restriction, Mundo Deportivo now highlights an interesting new development. As captured by the cameras of Jijantes, the agent of a certain Norwegian goalscorer was seen having a meeting with Barça’s Sporting Director Deco.

Deco and Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, were seen having a meal and a meeting in Barcelona recently. The actual context of this meeting is not yet revealed, but given her direct connection to Man City’s star striker, the rumor mill will certainly look at this as very exciting news.

However, it must be remembered that she also represents a great deal of other talented stars. The likes of Paul Pogba, Marco Verratti, and De Ligt of Bayern Munich are also names that come under her banner. The reality could be that the Brazilian director from Barcelona could simply be discussing the opportunities that she has to offer the club.

In terms of realistic expectations, an arrival of Haaland’s stature seems too close to impossibility. The Blaugranes do not possess the financial freedom to undertake a signing of that level right now, and it seems like it will take some time before Barcelona are eventually able to incorporate global superstars again.
