The summer transfer window has reached its final few hours and FC Barcelona are working against the clock to complete their in-progress operations. Several departures have already taken place today, and Barcelona now look to complete two additions to their squad.

The two players whom Barcelona have been working to sign before the end of the summer transfer window are Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix. According to reports, Barcelona have already reached an agreement with Manchester City and Atletico Madrid for the signing of these players, and only the final details are left to be ironed out now.

Felix and Cancelo waiting in the same hotel

The latest update on these operations has been provided by the journalist Helena Condis, who claims that both Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo are currently in the same hotel in Barcelona. Jorge Mendes, who represents both these players, had reserved the rooms for these players, and Joao Cancelo has just recently joined his compatriot, Felix, who was already at the hotel beforehand.

These developments indicate that Barcelona are nearing the conclusion of both these signings. However, time is of the essence, as only a few hours are left in the transfer window, and Barcelona will have to ensure they can complete the signings of these two players as soon as possible.

More depth for Barcelona

If these operations are completed satisfactorily, Blaugranes will get two quality additions to the squad. Joao Cancelo will be the clear starter on the right flank for Xavi, while Felix will have to fight for a position in the squad as there are already a number of forwards fighting for a single position.

However, Dembele and Fati have departed, and Abde can also leave in the remaining hours of the transfer window, which will make this competition somewhat less cutthroat.
