Even if FC Barcelona end up without winning any piece of silverware, this season will remain a cherished memory for most of the club’s fans mainly because of how involved the youth team players have been with the first team.

Players like Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsi, and Fermin Lopez have performed at a level that defies their ages, while other players like Hector Fort and Marc Guiu have also been impressive in the few cameos they have made.

Now, another Barcelona Atletic player who seems destined to take the next step in his career very soon is the defender Mikayil Faye.

Having impressed throughout his time under Rafa Marquez, the center-back was able to get his first call-up to the Senegalese national team in this international break, and took full advantage of this opportunity to showcase his talents at the highest level.

Owing to these good performances, his demand remains high in the market. In the last winter transfer window, the French side Lens made a proposal of around €9 million for him, but Barcelona rejected it even though they desperately needed funds.

According to SPORT, his exploits with the Senegal national team have once again catapulted him to the spotlight, and the Premier League giants, Manchester United, have already entered the list of clubs that are interested in him.

The report mentions that the Red Devils sent their scouts to the Senegal match, where Faye scored a screamer of a goal. In addition to United, Bayer Leverkusen are also interested in the defender, while Bayern Munich have also been reported to be keeping tabs on Faye.

Currently, the player, who is yet to make his senior team debut with Barcelona, is valued at €25 million in the market, but the Catalans will make a decision about his future in the coming summer. While his future club is far from certain, he is very unlikely to continue playing with the Barcelona subsidiary for the next season.
