There is no doubt that FC Barcelona possesses players that other clubs tend to eye often. The Catalan giants have a plethora of talented footballers that could be wanted elsewhere as well. However, Barcelona understandably values each of their stars rather differently.

One player who has seen life in Blaugrana to be irregular is Raphinha. The Brazilian winger has been a presence within Xavi’s Barcelona that is oftentimes frustrating to watch given the inconsistency of his creativity and footballing abilities. However, a certain Dutchman may be interested in his services.

As per SPORT, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is convinced that he has a solution that could allow Raphinha to come over to the Red Devils. Jadon Sancho, currently a player for the Manchester-based club, is not exactly an active member of Erik ten Hag’s team.

The English winger, formerly from Borussia Dortmund, has had his fair share of problems within Manchester United. Labeled as being lazy and untimely by even former teammates, the right-footed winger has lost his place within the club and is no longer even accepted in their training sessions much less their games.

However, offloading him permanently through a transfer fee is a route that United do not want to take. The hope to recoup the €85 million spent on him is now considered a lost dream. As a result, a swap deal is being considered by Erik ten Hag and his side.

As per the report, Manchester United would hope that a swap between Raphinha and Sancho would entice Barcelona. Once considered players of almost the same market value, United believes that it is much better to directly trade in Sancho for a winger like Raphinha than to sell their winger directly.

However, the Brazilian is still adapting to life in Barcelona. Despite his irregularities, including his less-than-ideal display against Girona, Xavi Hernandez continues to showcase faith in him. Moreover, Barcelona Sporting Director Deco was also a former representative of Raphinha. Hence, his stance on the matter will also be crucial.
