Dreams continue to be conjured in the Catalan city of Barcelona, and the dream of returning their crown jewel flourishes. Lionel Andres Messi, once the undisputed and unparalleled symbolic face of La Blaugrana, he now suffers in Paris, while his home comes calling.

As per Mundo Deportivo, despite the recent speculation and noise being generated from reports and journalists all across the European continent, there exists strong optimism amongst the top hierarchy of FC Barcelona, who believe the retrieval of Leo Messi is still very much a possible objective.

Reportedly, none from the camp of Messi has thus far confirmed to Barcelona that the Argentine World Cup winner has yet made a decision on his future. While it remains all but certain that he will not be renewing with Paris Saint-Germain, the bigger question is still about his next destination.

From the point of view of the Catalan club, Barcelona believe that they have upheld their side of the extreme efforts that they are willing to go to for the arrival of Messi. With their “Feasibility Plan” now simply awaiting official confirmation from La Liga, all that remains is for the 7-time Ballon D’or winner to establish his resolve to return to Spain.

However, as Jorge Messi has also confirmed the decision over the player’s future club will not be made until after the Argentine has managed to secure the French League title with his current Parisian club.

Moreover, Mundo Deportivo reports that a similar understanding is held at FC Barcelona, who will not be making any more direct attempts for now as their primary focus still remains capturing their first La Liga title since the 2018/2019 season.

While conflicting reports continue to arise, the player’s commitment to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal has not thus been confirmed by any official source and neither does FC Barcelona believe it.

Moreover, Jorge Messi himself has waved it aside as simply a ‘lack of respect from the media’ who continue to spread false rumors. As it stands, the dream of recapturing their crown Argentinean jewel still remains for FC Barcelona.
