FC Barcelona continues to scrounge the transfer market for recruitments, and updates are plenty. With recent developments all across Europe occurring simultaneously that concern various clubs, there are those that concern La Blaugrana in particular as well.

As per the ever-reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, there are new updates concerning Lionel Messi and the Argentine’s contractual situation with his current club Paris Saint Germain. The player was just recently suspended by the Parisian club for two weeks without pay due to an “unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia” for personal reasons.

The Italian journalist in his most recent update on the current situation of the Argentinian World Cup winner has said that his departure from PSG is all but confirmed and the player’s decision to leave was already communicated a month ago by the player’s entourage to his current club.

Tensions remain high in France, and with the player reportedly not even convinced on a sporting level, the future of the Messi and PSG relationships looks dire. It remains no secret that FC Barcelona want to pursue Lionel Messi as one of their primary transfer targets for this summer transfer window and will be going all out to attain his services.

They have even gone to the extent and through the hassles of having to present a “Feasibility” plan to La Liga in order to be granted early permission and allowance in regards to being legally able to sign Messi when they inevitably present an official offer to him.

As things stand, there are conflicting reports as to just how positive or negative the reply from La Liga has been regarding the Feasibility plan. However, two things do remain certain, Lionel Messi’s time at PSG is indefinitely over with the suspension being the last straw, and FC Barcelona will go to extreme lengths to be able to bring Lionel Messi back home to Catalunya.
