Another World Cup and another star could be on the rise as Morocco’s midfielder Azzedine Ounahi has left the world in awe with his stellar performance.

Ounahi has been a peripheral figure in Morocco’s resilient team and has offered creativity and added an attacking edge to that Moroccan team that has gone all the way to be the first African team to hit the World Cup semi-finals.

Morocco bowed out to a more solid French team but Ounahi still put on a good display. The Angers man was all over the pitch, linking play on the right side alongside Hakim Ziyech and pulling strings in midfield to accommodate those Moroccan attacks. His work rate has been superb and his eye for goal is also something to look out for as he didn’t shy away from taking those long-range shots against the French team.

Ounahi is a gem and many teams alongside Barcelona have already noticed his formidable display. Recent reports from SPORT actually claim that Leicester are willing to splash in around 40 million euros for the Angers midfielder.

Barcelona reek in creativity and Xavi wouldn’t mind having an extra creative midfielder in his ranks. One thing is for certain though, the competition for the Moroccan jewel will be intense and Barcelona need to move fast in the market if they want to sign Ounahi.
