A dream comes true for a certain Brazilian star who has landed just today in Barcelona. The Catalan club was aware that not many signings can be made in January, but they were very clear about one incorporation. Vitor Roque, aged just 18, becomes the latest recruit for FC Barcelona.
First order of business was to deal and get done with his medical examinations. The Brazilian wasted no time and passed them soon enough to get them completed. However, his intentions are to do more than just simply become a player for Barcelona.
‘Tigrinho’, as he is called, hopes to make his mark at the club. As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, the player spoke about Barcelona being his dream destination. He hopes to be a scorer of many goals and learn as fast as possible with the club as well:
“I am very happy with everything that has happened in my life. It’s a dream that I have now realized. I believe I always try to learn as much as possible with the whole group and enjoy. I always have the desire to want the ball all the time and I will try to learn as much as possible. Scoring goals too.”
Roque was then asked about just how many times he had dreamt of one day donning the Blaugrana colors. In his reply, he held back no extreme words and pointed out that the dream was not just only his:
“Many times. It has always been a dream since I was little, not just mine but also my family’s. They are also here fulfilling this dream.”
The new Barcelona forward also intends to help his team achieve great things. He expects a driven team with the hunger to compete with strong wills:
“(I expect) victories and the will to win to the fullest… (I hope to) help the club as much as possible.”
La Blaugrana’s latest signing will now first look to take part in training under Xavi’s command. In the event that his registration can be wrapped up soon, Vitor Roque will also be eligible to take part in Barça’s upcoming clash against UD Las Palmas on the 4th of January.
