FC Barcelona are looking to make several additions to their squad in what will be another difficult summer transfer window for them.
Getting a midfield pivot is at the top of the priority list for Barcelona, but in addition to a midfielder, the Catalans are also looking to sign a forward to bolster their attack.
In this regard, one of the players whom the Catalans like and are keeping a close eye on is the Bayern Munich winger, Bryan Zaragoza, who, according to SPORT, is going through a very complex situation at the Bavarian club.
The Spanish winger joined the German champions in the last winter transfer window when Bayern Munich paid €3 million more than his release clause of €14 million to advance his incorporation from the summer to January.
However, the winger has not practically played for Bayern during this time, and according to Thomas Tuchel, there have been language adaptation issues that have kept him from getting on the pitch for the Germans.
Barcelona have become keenly attentive to this situation of the winger, as the Blaugranes like him a lot. The Catalans had already asked about him in January, but could not sign him till the coming summer window, when there was the possibility of his release clause getting down to €7 million if Granada were relegated.
But the player himself did not want to wait and joined Bayern six months before anyone was expecting him to make such a move. But now, his evolution has come to a standstill at Bayern, and he has definitely missed out on a spot for the UEFA EURO 2024.
Deco particularly likes the player mainly because he offers a profile different than what the Catalans have currently in their squad. His speed and ability to take on players one-on-one makes him a particularly alluring player for Barcelona.
For now, Zaragoza is looking to wait and see who takes the charge at Bayern Munich after Tuchel’s departure. If the new coach also does not have him in his plans for the next season, he could leave on loan and Barcelona believe it will be a good market opportunity to get a differential player up-top.
