Barcelona continue to sort out the players and various assets that they can sell to make way for further funds and consequent arrivals over the summer.
So far, the Catalans have had little to no luck with getting their players sold. The likes of Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres, and Franck Kessie continue to remain adamant on not wanting to leave the club and the situation of the loanees is yet to be settled.
As per the most recent update by SPORT, however, there may be some light in terms of transfers after all.
A previously interested party in Barcelona’s Brazilian winger Raphinha has reportedly re-emerged and is now willing once more on spending big on the 26-year-old during the summer transfer window and taking him away from Barcelona.
The side in question is none other than English Premier League side Newcastle United. They are now willing, similar to last time, to spend around an estimated amount of €80 million on the Brazilian winger.
Following a solid first season at the club, Xavi Hernandez has come to understand that the player is one who can make a difference, and even if he is not necessarily a starter he adds much-needed depth and value to the team.
For now, FC Barcelona considers that the ideal valuation of the player has to be in the region of €80 million or above as they themselves have already dedicated €55 million and above in variables to buying the winger in the first place from Leeds United last summer.
