It is common for legends of the club to come out of their way to congratulate FC Barcelona every time they accomplish something noteworthy. However, sometimes players may even go to more extreme lengths to actively take part in celebrations, and that is exactly what a particular Brazilian superstar did recently.
Current Paris Saint-Germain number 10 and ex-Barcelona number 11, Neymar Jr was recently seen having arrived in the city of Barcelona. Courtesy of images caught by Paparazzi of the player at the airport as well as confirmation by Gerard Romero, the player’s arrival in the city raised quite a few eyebrows.
Moreover, the Catalan journalist also confirmed in detail that the Brazilian had arrived in the city following La Blaugrana’s 4-2 win over Espanyol which guaranteed them the league title. The 31-year-old forward reportedly took a two-day leave from his Parisian club to enjoy this mini-vacation of sorts in the Catalan city.
Specifically, the player reportedly went to the Carpe Diem nightclub, where he was spotted hanging out with a handful of the club’s players who went out to celebrate their league title win.
Allegedly, the ex-Barcelona winger continues to have particularly good relations with some Barca players such as Ter Stegen, the departing Sergio Busquets, Sergi Roberto, and Jordi Alba, players in particular that he himself got to play alongside during his time at the club.
Despite some rumors resurfacing that Neymar and Barcelona might look to rekindle their long-lost relations over the summer, it remains clear that these celebrations are more of a friendly get-together rather than a collective group ordeal.
Neymar may end up leaving PSG in the summer, but the option of FC Barcelona seems improbable at the moment.
On the other hand, the coach and his subsequent technical staff were also spotted celebrating the victory in another restaurant in the city, away from the players. In what is Xavi’s first full season as manager of FC Barcelona, a league title becomes something to surely celebrate with as much jubilation as possible.
