Upon the departure of Lionel Messi from Paris-saint Germain, Neymar has come out to express his farewell to the Argentine maestro as the inseparable duo will no longer share the same field again.
Neymar and Messi’s friendship has been well documented by now. When the Brazilian left Barcelona and joined PSG, his desire remained to rejoin the Catalan club, with a special emphasis on playing with his companion, Lionel Messi.
While the move failed and a return never looked on the cards, Messi’s forced exit from Barcelona saw him reunite with the Brazilian left-winger at Parc des Princes.
Now having come to the conclusion of Messi’s chapter with PSG, Neymar has taken advantage of his large social following to spread a goodbye message to the Argentine that portrays an emotional tone. Neymar wrote:
Brother… it didn’t turn out as we thought but we tried everything. It was a pleasure to share two more years with you. Good luck in your new stage, and be happy. I love you.
Neymar publicly ensured Messi was given his roses with a sentimental message accompanied by two pictures of the duo in the dressing room. Leo Messi even responded to Neymar:
Thanks Ney! Beyond all that remains, that we once again enjoyed playing together and sharing the day-to-day. I wish you all the best. Apart from being a crack, you’re a beautiful person and that’s all that matters at the end. I love you so much.
Chiming in with a message as the historic trio was seen embracing the letter, Luis Suarez also made sure to share his thoughts in the comment section of Neymar’s post:
It was very nice to see you and Neymar again but the most beautiful thing is that you love each other and always support each other in everything! I love you my friends.
As Messi searches for his new club and Neymar proceeds to be a hot topic in the summer transfer window, the future of the talented duo is up in the air.
