The summer transfer window is now beginning to get hot for FC Barcelona as they forge ahead. The Blaugranes are now finally making their ultimate decisions in regards to who their priority targets are. Gradually, Barcelona are eliminating the alternatives and singling out which players they must bring in no matter what.

However, one of the main complications FC Barcelona has faced recently is conflicting personal terms with potential targets. Joshua Kimmich, for instance, not only has other options in mind but also has extreme financial demands on a personal level, which complicates his potential signing for Barcelona.

Fortunately for FC Barcelona, another one of their major targets this summer seems to have a different mindset. According to Toni Juanmartí (h/t Reshad Rahman), 21-year-old Athletic Club star Nico Williams only has one destination in mind in terms of a transfer and that destination would be FC Barcelona.

The player has received a lot of interest from the Premier League recently, especially after his grand displays for Spain in the European Championship. However, the Athletic Club star reportedly will prioritize a move to Barcelona over joining any side in the English Premier League.

This will come as a blow to the sides in England but will come as great news for the Catalans. Over recent weeks and days, more reports have emerged claiming that Barça are finally convinced about the younger of the two professional Williams brothers and will do whatever it takes to sign him.

For now, personal terms with the player are yet to be agreed but this knowledge of Barcelona being his priority could go a long way. Moreover, club president Joan Laporta has also given his blessing and the green light to pursue the signing of this elite winger.

The excitement and sporting excellence that could arrive with Nico Williams is a thought that Barcelona are rubbing their hands about. Over the course of the summer window, the club will now look to gather the funds they need to facilitate Nico’s arrival, and they hope to reunite the Athletic Club winger with Lamine Yamal and the rest of his Spanish teammates at Barcelona.
