However, the Blaugranes are still optimistic about their chances of signing him, and recent reports on the subject indicate that they are fully focused on this move. Some media reports claim that Barcelona believe that the player actually wants to join them this summer.

For now, he continues to train with the Athletic Club and is waiting for his future to be resolved. He was not called up by Bilbao for their last friendly against Stuttgart, which the Basque team lost 4-0.
