Official: Barcelona announce squad for the game against Bayern Munich

FC Barcelona are gearing up for the tussle against Bayern Munich on matchday three of the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League League Phase. The Catalan giants will welcome the Bavarians on Wednesday night at the Montjuïc Stadium, in front of their home fans.

With just three points from their opening two fixtures, both teams will be eager to secure a win and improve their standings. In addition to the fierce and historic rivalry between these two European giants, the presence of Hansi Flick in the Barcelona dugout will also add an extra layer of excitement to this already thrilling clash.

Bayern Munich have already announced their squad for this tie and their team has already arrived in the city of Barcelona. The Bavarians will miss the services of Hiroki Ito, Josip Stanisic, Sacha Boey, and Aleksandar Pavlović. However, Jamal has recovered from his injury and has been included in the squad.

Now FC Barcelona have also officially released the squad list for this clash, showing no significant changes except for the anticipated absence of Eric Garcia. He is suffering from muscular discomfort and an adductor strain in his right leg, which he sustained during the warm-up for the match against Sevilla.

Similar to the Bavarians, the Catalans will also be missing several key players who are still recovering from injuries. In addition to Eric Garcia, Ronald Araujo, Marc-André ter Stegen, Ferran Torres, Andreas Christensen, and Marc Bernal will also be absent for this clash.
