There is some unmistakable tension in the FC Barcelona camp right now at this moment. La Blaugrana know that their season is currently jeopardized, and no more errors can be tolerated. As it stands, Barcelona will need to walk a very fine line when it comes to their La Liga hopes.

The very first challenge now is also one that could be considered their last. Real Betis welcome Barça to the Benito Villamarin, a formidable fortress for the Andalusians. For Xavi and his players, the test will be one that defines their season.

With Manuel Pellegrini’s side currently enjoying a lot of momentum, and Barça despising their lack of it, a lot of pressure is on the Catalan giants to get a result. As Girona and Real Madrid remain at a distance, Barcelona need to decrease that gap.

Before they can do that, however, they need a win over their upcoming La Liga opponents. Betis will not make it easy for Xavi’s side, but the Catalans know that no game from here onwards is going to be easy.

Ahead of the game itself, FC Barcelona have released their official 20-man squad list for the clash against Betis. Andreas Christensen, unfortunately, has indeed joined the list of injured stars for Barça this season.
