After losing to Girona in the La Liga clash on Sunday, FC Barcelona will once again take to the field this Wednesday against Royal Antwerp in their last group-stage match in the UEFA Champions League.
This match comes at an opportune time for Barcelona, as the Catalans have already progressed to the Round of 16 of the Champions League, and Xavi’s men will not have too much pressure on them to win this game.
However, Xavi will still have to ensure that the Blaugranes get a win in this game, especially to boost the morale of the squad after their loss to Girona.
FC Barcelona have officially announced the squad for this game against Royal Antwerp, and Xavi has decided to rest some important players like Lewandowski, Araujo, De Jong, and Gundogan.
In their stead, the Barcelona head coach has called up several youngsters from the reserve team, including Angel Alarcon, Marc Casado, Pau Cubarsi, Aleix Garrido, Marc Guiu, and Hector Fort.
Some of these youngsters can also get time on the pitch for this game, as the stakes are quite low and it will be a good outing for the youngsters, especially as it is a Champions League game.
