FC Barcelona return to action not long after their recent encounter in La Liga EA Sports. Their upcoming test will be even further away from home, however. The Catalan giants travel to Hamburg in Germany to face off against their opponents in the UEFA Champions League.

The rivals awaiting them are none other than Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk. Due to political tensions at home in Ukraine, Shakhtar will play their Champions League games away from their own country for the second season in a row.

In a way, this ground will more or less prove to be a neutral face-off between the two European opponents. However, nothing about the game itself will be neutral.

For Barcelona, a win here would guarantee them a spot in the knockout stages of the Champions League. Having been away since quite some time now, Barça will be adamant about advancing in Europe’s premier competition.

As such, ahead of their travel to Hamburg, Barcelona have released their official squad list. The 21-man squad list is the exact same as the one that traveled to San Sebastián recently. Pedri is now fully integrated and back with the rest of the team.

In terms of injuries and suspensions, Frenkie De Jong and Sergi Roberto are still unavailable. The Dutchman is expected to return in the late stages of November, as per recent reports.
