After facing their first defeat in La Liga at El Sadar last weekend, FC Barcelona are set to return to action tonight with a match against the Swiss side BSC Young Boys.
Hansi Flick would be looking to get a win in this game, not only to spring his team back to life after the demoralizing loss to Osasuna but also to get the first three points in the UEFA Champions League after his team started the UCL campaign with a loss to Monaco.
Barcelona have announced the squad for this game, and several important players like Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, Gavi, Marc Bernal, Fermin Lopez, and Dani Olmo continue to remain absent as they are still recovering from their respective injuries while Eric Garcia is suspended for this game.
Flick has called up several players from the subsidiary and the youth ranks to bolster his squad for this important game. However, the most notable change in the squad list over the one for the Osasuna game is the presence of Frenkie de Jong.
The Dutchman has finally recovered from his injury after spending the last five months, on the sidelines and will be available to make his season debut under Hansi Flick in this match. However, following such a lengthy spell on the sidelines, he is not expected to start this game, but might get some minutes in the latter phases of the match.
