FC Barcelona arrive at El Sadar for their next game in La Liga for the ongoing season. So far, the Catalan giants continue to enjoy the feeling of being the only team in Spain with a perfect record. Hopefully, with Hansi Flick’s men raring to go, Barcelona can aim for another victory at a stadium that has remained difficult for visitors to conquer this season.
With CA Osasuna unbeaten so far, it becomes clear that Barça will need to be at their best to manage a victory. That will undoubtedly be their aim as they hope to add an eighth consecutive victory in La Liga this season but it seems that Hansi Flick will be relying on a more experimental lineup for this game.
As per the now published official lineup, it is clear to see that Flick’s intentions are to aim for all three points.
In goal, Inaki Pena returns for his second consecutive start after managing to keep a clean sheet last time out against Getafe. With reports of Barcelona possibly acquiring a new goalkeeper still going strong, Pena will want to do his best to ensure that he manages to gain the full trust of the coaching staff.
As for the two central defenders, youngsters Pau Cubarsi and Sergi Dominguez will be looking to make sure that they do their job dutifully and restrict Osasuna as much as possible in front of a tough crowd.
On either side of the two central defenders, Gerard Martin and Jules Kounde take their respective positions as the left and right backs. Their objective will be a mixture of providing depth in attack while also providing defensive cover for their teammates.
The two central defensive midfielders are Pedri and Eric Garcia. Both Spaniards possess a solid grasp of positional awareness and have enough technical ability to slide through a dangerous pass between the lines. They will look to strike a perfect balance between their offensive and defensive duties.
For this game, Pablo Torre starts as the central attacking midfielder and his composure should be extremely helpful for a very fluid Barcelona attack. Fortunately for him, both Ferran Torres and Pau Victor will be on his flanks to provide offensive creativity while also being direct goal threats themselves.
Up front, Robert Lewandowski retains his place as the team’s primary centre forward. With his amazing goalscoring so far in La Liga, the Polish ace will be desperate to get even more goals under his belt as he continues to enjoy a fine start to life in this season’s league campaign.
