FC Barcelona have traveled to Madrid to face off against 16th placed Getafe CF in the Catalan’s 29th Matchday in La Liga Santander. A win is an ultimate objective, and the consequent 3 points would return the Blaugrana outfit back to their 13-point gap from second-placed Real Madrid.
Lining up in a 4-3-3 as Xavi typically tends to do, the Blaugrana start off with the irreplaceable and their number one between the sticks, Marc Andre Ter Stegen. Beyond the German international, the backline consists of the obvious choices in Ronald Araujo at the center of the defense, alongside Jules Kounde who occupies the other central position.
At left back, the talents of veteran Jordi Alba are set to make their mark as he returns to the starting lineup. The right-back slot is then taken by Sergi Roberto, as primary choice Danish defender Andreas Christensen remains sidelined and Kounde is shifted to the center, as that concludes the defensive line for Barcelona.
In the heart of the field, the midfield comprises of Sergio Busquets in the pivot position as was expected of Xavi Hernandez. His companions ahead and alongside him on the field are Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie and Spanish compatriot and youngster Gavi.
Lastly, the frontline for FC Barcelona comprises of the ever-potent threat of the Polish number 9, Robert Lewandowski, who is partnered by Brazilian winger Raphinha and surprise inclusion Alejandro Balde at left wing, who will be asked to utilize his pace and unsettling attributes to create chances for his fellow forwards.
