Over at FC Barcelona, it has become a norm of sorts to see young players emerge in the first team. Instead of simply relying on foreign or external talent to help them thrive, the Catalan club often promotes their own homegrown talents. However, it is undeniable that some Barcelona prospects are far more noticeable than others.

Two such names to provide the perfect example would be Lamine Yamal and Marc Bernal, an extraordinary pair that comes from the 2007 generation. Both players are currently 17 years old, but the way that they play the game is in a league of its own compared to others at their age.

Lamine Yamal, for instance, is one of the world’s most in-form players right now and continues to mark himself as one of the faces of the future generation of the sport. The heights that he has already managed to reach at this age are unprecedented, and he continues to make history with almost every touch of the ball.

Similarly, Marc Bernal is yet another player who executes his mastery of the game at a level that even veterans could envy. Unfortunately for Bernal, however, his breakout season with Barcelona has been cut short due to an untimely ACL injury.

To cut away from the gloom of the matter, however, there has emerged a wholesome video that shows both the young players at a very early stage of their Barcelona journey. Together, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, the duo from La Masia can be seen reacting to old clips of Ronaldinho and the Barcelona team from before their own time.

Now circulating on social media, it is no surprise that the video of the two Barcelona youngsters is gradually going viral. In it, both Yamal and Bernal can be seen getting excited over the magic and trickery that the Brazilian icon had to offer, and common expressions from both young players were quite wholesome to watch and included the young winger even commenting:

“He seems to be playing against children.”

While it may sound ironic coming from a literal child himself, Yamal’s opinion is one that many who have seen Ronaldinho play would share as well. The Brazilian truly was a generational player, and the joy he brought to the sport for many is something that future generations could attribute to the likes of Yamal and Bernal as well in the years to come.
