There are only a few days left in this summer transfer window, and time is running out for Barcelona to further strengthen their team for this season. The Catalans want to bring some new players but are facing a lot of difficulties because of their finances.

Furthermore, Eric Garcia’s future at the club is also not very certain. The Catalans do not want to sell him as his sale would weaken them even further in this area. They would agree to his sale only if the player himself asks for a move, and if they have already returned to the 1:1 rule, as then they can spend the full proceeds from his sale on a new signing.
It is still unknown whether Barcelona will be able to sign another defender this summer, but they still have some interesting players in their sight. Jonathan Tah is another interesting option that the Blaugranes have on their list.
