FC Barcelona are set to face Rayo Vallecano in their upcoming La Liga match. The Madrid side has been a tough nut to crack for the Catalans in general but Hansi Flick’s side will be particularly motivated to get a win on Monday as this can get them back to the top of the league table following the points dropped by Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

However, there would be one player in particular who will be looking to shine in this game, i.e., Raphinha, who has been enjoying a very good season so far, having scored 24 goals in 35 official matches, and missing only 1 game for the Blaugranes.

But the reason for his extra motivation against Rayo will be the fact that the Madrid team remains one of the eight teams against whom the Brazilian has not been able to score a goal up to now, as noted by Mundo Deportivo.

Having joined Barcelona in 2022, Raphinha has faced Rayo Vallecano five times but has not been able to score a goal in either of these five appearances. Thus, the visitors for Monday’s match are one of the three teams against whom the Brazilian has played the most without scoring a goal, along with Atletico Madrid and Girona.

The other five teams against whom the Barcelona winger is yet to score are Alaves, Leganes, Cadiz, Elche, and Granada. On the other hand, the Canarinha forward has already scored against 15 teams in La Liga, including against the Blauganes’ arch-rivals, Real Madrid.

He has scored the most goals against Mallorca, Real Valladolid, Real Betis, and Sevilla, having scored three goals against all of these teams. Only this season, he has already scored against the likes of Valladolid, Villarreal, Real Madrid, Espanyol, Celta, Las Palmas, Mallorca, Valencia, and Sevilla, and still has 9 games left to add more teams to his list of victims.
