Osasuna vs Barcelona: Player Ratings

Osasuna vs Barcelona: Player Ratings

After a frustratingly difficult game, Barca’s heroics saw them leave El Sadar with all 3 points thanks to some commendable displays even with one man down for the most part of the game.

Player Ratings:

Ter Stegen: 7.0

Made a great save later in the game, however, he can’t be held accountable for the goal that the Catalans conceded.

Balde: 7.5

Consistently a threat with his runs, as well as making sure he kept attending to his defensive duties regularly, particularly against Avila.

Marcos Alonso: 6.5

Mostly solid and consistent enough with his performance. Should have had a foul called on him in the buildup to Osasuna’s first goal, however.

Andreas Christensen: 6.0

A bit lackluster against Osasuna, he was having a hard time coping with the opponent’s tactics.

Jordi Alba: 7.5

Showed both seniority and creativity with the way he played, was integral to Barca’s opening goal.

Busquets: 5.0

Arguably one of his worst performances this season, the Spaniard should definitely be reconsidered as a starter by Xavi at this stage to avoid having him as a potential liability on the field.

Pedri: 8.0

Runs the strings in this Catalan side, and was given his due when he was the player who managed to score the equalizer. A class apart.

Frenkie De Jong: 8.5

An absolute masterclass by the Dutchman. Consistently created chances and openings for his team, as well as assisted the game-winning goal with a spectacular lob. Played well both as a midfielder as well a center-back.

Ousmane Dembele: 5.5

Could not do much given Lewandowski’s early sending-off, leaving the winger with no central outlet to create for.

Robert Lewandowski: 4.0

Uncharacteristically foolish with the challenge that earned him a deserved sending-off. May have to face further consequences for it later on.

Ferran Torres: 6.0

His runs were again crucial for the Blaugrana, with the equalizer having been scored partly thanks to him.

Substitutes:

Gavi: 7.5

An immense presence for the Catalans since his arrival onto the pitch, the young Spaniard was crucial in keeping Barcelona active and on their feet so as to not let go of the 3 points they had managed to secure.

Raphinha: 7.0

Scored an absolute gem of a winner with his run and header. The Brazilian has been a revitalized being over the course of the last 4 games.

Fati: 6.0

Shows his creative ideas and runs consistently enough, but things just don’t seem to be clicking for the young number 10 just yet.

Chadi Riad: N/A

Not enough time on the field to warrant a rating.
