FC Barcelona remains a club where each and every single player must be willing to commit everything towards the team. Under Hansi Flick in particular, there is simply no room for any individual to mess up. Unfortunately, however, Barcelona can only offer opportunities to so many people at once.

Despite the best efforts of some players, they are simply unable to break through certain barriers to become regulars for the first team. Most of the time, this has more to do with the kind of quality that is starting ahead of them rather than the dedication of the struggling players themselves.

Such is likely the case for 21-year-old Spanish midfielder Pablo Torre as well, who has barely had any opportunities for Hansi Flick’s team following the games against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. Since then, he has essentially played no minutes for Barcelona despite a promising early start to the season.

According to SPORT, however, this lack of minutes could be a possible reason behind why the player’s agents, Arturo Canales and Fernando Solanas, recently met with Barcelona director Deco. The exact reasons are vague for now, but this lack of opportunities could be a possible explanation.

While much of the talk about this is more or less speculative, it would make sense for the player to feel rather frustrated so far. Despite his promising cameos, appearances in which he definitely gave goals and provided creativity to Flick’s team, he has been exiled to the bench without many chances.

However, as far as the club‘s stance goes towards this situation, both Hansi Flick and Barcelona are certain that his chances will come. Given the long season still up ahead, it would make sense to rotate as much as possible whenever it is deemed necessary by the coach, and that should allow Torre to have plenty of minutes.

Moreover, given his age and the kind of talent he possesses, La Blaugrana are in no hurry to part ways with him. Instead, they hope for him to stick with them, at least for now, as he has proven himself to be capable enough to hold his own whenever the coach has counted on him.
