The midfielder Marc Casado is one of the players whose future FC Barcelona are still waiting to see decided as the summer transfer window reaches its very last days.
After playing an important role in the first team during Hansi Flick’s first season in charge, the Spaniard saw his importance decrease during the last season. As things stand, he is not a part of the German coach’s plans for the new season, as he already has more than enough players for the two midfield positions, especially since the signing of Rodri Hernandez.
For his part, Casado agreed to leave the club early in the summer, but so far, has still not decided which club he will choose. In fact, according to Diario AS, the midfielder is not expected to make a decision in this regard soon either, and will carefully consider the options he has on the table and then make a choice in the very last moments of the transfer window.
Barcelona also do not have any problems with this, and they are giving the Spaniard a lot of leeway to make the best possible decision regarding his future. However, they are keenly awaiting his departure, and he has not even been training with the rest of his teammates for the last several weeks.
There is also no shortage of offers for him. A Saudi club made a good offer for him in mid-July, but it did not convince either the Blaugrana club or the player himself. Meanwhile, clubs from England, Turkiye, and Saudi Arabia have also made offers to the La Masia graduate, and the midfielder and his agent are considering which of these will be the best for him.
Hopefully, Marc Casado will make the right decision and choose a club that will allow him to continue playing and growing at the highest level after leaving Barcelona.
