Pedri spoke about the win against Real Betis, reaching the Final, El Clasico, winning the first trophy of the Xavi era, and not finishing games after taking the initial lead in his post-match press conference after the win against Real Betis in Spanish Super Cup Semi-Final.

Pedri on winning the semi-final:

“Betis is a difficult opponent, and they hurt us a lot. It was a good victory today, we hope to win the final. Hopefully, we can win our first title in the Xavi era on Sunday.”

Pedri on getting relaxed after taking the lead:

“Every time we score 1-0, it’s like we subconsciously think that the match is over. We need to address that.”

Pedri on being awarded the Man of The Match Award:

“Ter Stegen is crazy and he deserves the MOTM award more than I do. Ter Stegen and Courtois are both playing at a great level.”

Pedri on facing Real Madrid in the Final:

“Of course, we’d like to dictate play against Real Madrid. It will not be easy, but they compete very well. So, we’ll need to show the best possible version of ourselves to be able to win.”

Pedri on his improvement under Xavi:

“My ability to play more vertically is something I’ve improved with Xavi. Also, my dribbling and 1v1 situations are among many things I still need to improve on.”

Pedri on the comparison of celebrations after winning with Real Madrid:

“I don’t care about that. We focus on ourselves. We want this title and every title we compete for.”

Pedri on taking the decisive penalty:

“Sergio Alegre decided who would take the penalties.”
