FC Barcelona finally return to action in La Liga following the last international break until March next year. This time, they face Celta Vigo away from home on Matchday 14 of the Spanish First Division. For Hansi Flick’s Barcelona, this match presents an opportunity to secure some much-needed three points.

With Real Madrid having a game in hand, it’s essential for the Catalan giants to make a good impression and get a positive result here. For that reason, Hansi Flick can be expected to start a strong eleven for this encounter.

Here is how Barcelona could line up for the fixture:

Goalkeeper: Inaki Pena

The Spanish goalkeeper is expected to start for Barcelona now right after the international break and his solid performances for the Catalan giants will surely help his case against Celta Vigo.

Right-back: Jules Kounde

For the French defender, after a rather demanding international break, it is expected for him to return to the starting eleven again. The defensive balance he provides to the team could be crucial for this game.

Centre-back: Pau Cubarsi

Alongside Inigo Martinez, the young Spaniard has formed one of the most functional defensive duos in Europe this season. It would simply not make sense for Hansi Flick to change that up with both players fully refreshed.

Centre-back: Inigo Martinez

Easily the most experienced individual in the Barcelona back-line, Inigo Martinez adds a key element of maturity there. His defensive ability and leadership are just a few other traits of his that make him a sure starter for Hansi Flick’s team.

Left-back: Alejandro Balde

The electric fullback may not have a lot of goal contributions to offer this season, but his work rate and commitment both help out the team a lot. Particularly in transitions, he is one of the most important players for Hansi Flick’s side.

CDM: Marc Casado

A pure workhorse in the Barcelona midfield, Marc Casado is a player who makes this team much stronger in terms of balance and the way in which they connect from front to back. Today, it is essential that he is there to provide the necessary connection to the team.

CDM: Gavi

Now ready to start according to Hansi Flick himself, the young La Masia gem will likely get his first start for Barcelona this season after his long-term injury and it will be interesting to see how he performs.

RAM: Raphinha

With Lamine Yamal injured and unavailable, it would make sense for Flick to deploy Raphinha on the right side of the attack today. His form has been unquestionable, so he has to start either way and positionally it simply seems likely that he will take over from where Yamal typically plays.

CAM: Pedri

The young Spanish midfielder has a keen eye to connect teammates and distribute the ball, and in between the forwards, he could provide some killer final passes.

LAM: Dani Olmo

One of the many perks of signing Dani Olmo was his versatility, and Barcelona may look to take advantage of that in this encounter as they deal with some injuries upfront. The Spaniard is always a threat, and he makes Barcelona a much better team whenever he plays.

Centre-forward: Robert Lewandowski

The Polish ace may not have had the best of luck against Real Sociedad, but this game against Celta Vigo should allow him to have another opportunity at getting to make an impact and score some goals to add to his tally.
