Within FC Barcelona there is an understanding of the great quality of a certain few players. While the entire team is made up of elite talents, some manage to stand out even more. It becomes even more ridiculous when said Barcelona talents are barely of legal age.

Under Xavi’s guidance, a lot of the youngsters from the Barcelona subsidiary have been given many chances. The likes of Marc Guiu, Fermin Lopez, Pau Cubarsi, and others have truly come to life under Xavi’s orders, but a certain 16-year-old is easily his most tremendous revelation.

16 years of age, and already a proper superstar, Lamine Yamal is the jewel of Xavi’s young plethora of starlets. As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, even the heavyweights in the dressing room are beginning to acknowledge his ascension and just how crucial he already is to the team.

Despite his tender age, the report claims that the likes of Marc Andre Ter Stegen, Robert Lewandowski, and other seniors of the team already consider Yamal to be a leader. A “humble leader” as Mundo Deportivo claims him to be, the 16-year-old is undoubtedly a generational talent.

Against Celta Vigo in the most recent game, Yamal was once again a game-changer for Barcelona. He attempted four shots during the game, which in turn created a lot of danger. The winger was also the player responsible for setting up both goals, with the first being a direct assist and the second being that he won the decisive penalty.

He also completed the one dribble he attempted, as well as both tackles that he committed to. Beyond just his offensive magic, the player is a committed player both on the offense and even whenever he has to be called up for defensive duties.

With the game against Napoli coming up ahead, Yamal will once again be crucial for Barcelona. In a season full of uncertainties, the 16-year-old has provided the Catalan giants a reason to hope again. This hope, however long it may last, is something that fans of La Blaugrana now cling to.
