Hansi Flick’s FC Barcelona has been one of the best teams in Europe since the start of this season, and any lingering doubts about the competitive ability of the Blaugranes were dispelled in the last week when they defeated two of the biggest sides in Europe, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

Several Barcelona players have stepped up their game this season, which is naturally attracting interest from other big European sides. For instance, Pau Cubarsi has been linked with the Premier League side Manchester City.

Now, another Barcelona defender is being linked with another big European club as Fichajes reports that Paris Saint Germain are interested in Jules Kounde, and are ready to launch a massive €100 million bid for him.

The Frenchman has mainly played as a right-back for the Blaugranes this season, but he is still naturally a center-back, and the Parisians are also looking to incorporate him in their team as a center-back, especially as they already have their flanks covered with the likes of Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, and William Pacho.

The former Barcelona and the current PSG coach, Luis Enrique, is an admirer of the French defender in particular, and believes he will be an ideal option for his backline. The French side also believes that they will be able to convince Barcelona to part ways with the defender for such a big sum, especially considering their financial problems.

However, the position of the Catalan club on this potential move is still not clear. It remains unlikely that Barcelona would agree to such a move, despite the big offer, because Kounde has been an essential part of their backline since his arrival at the club, and the Blaugranes do not have another reliable right-back in their ranks. Still, it will be interesting to see how this story develops in the coming months.
