The next few days can be crucial for FC Barcelona from a sporting point of view as they still have not been able to meet the requirements to get their duo of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor registered with La Liga for the 2nd half of the season.
One avenue that the Blaugranes had tried to get over their problems in this regard was to approach a commercial court with the hopes that they will be permitted a precautionary registration for these players while the case is resolved in the court.
However, they denied this facility by the court, despite Barcelona having gotten a similar concession previously in the case of Gavi.
There is no doubt that this is a significant blow for the Blaugrana club, and the initial repercussions of this ruling are already being felt. This is clear from a report from SPORT, which claims that Paris Saint Germain are keeping a close eye on the developments taking place regarding Dani Olmo at Barcelona.
The Parisians are yet to make any moves for the Spanish midfielder, but they are getting their hopes high with the situation that is leading to growing uncertainty about Olmo’s future at the Catalan club.
Luis Enrique, who is currently in charge of the French side, particularly likes the €60m-rated Spaniard. Olmo had been a key part of his team when he was the manager of the Spanish national team in the 2022 World Cup, as he remained a starter and played the full 90 minutes in all the four games that the Spaniards played in that competition.
This was also the case in UEFA EURO 2020, when Olmo was also undisputed for Luis Enrique and contributed with three assists to help his team reach the semi-finals.
Thus, Enrique would be particularly keen to have him in his team if his situation at Barcelona does not improve. However, the Blaugranes are naturally taking steps to ensure that things do not reach such a point, and they are already contemplating selling the rights to Camp Nou VIP seats to a Qatari company for €120 million to solve this issue.
