In light of recent developments, FC Barcelona continue to assess the various possibilities that would allow the Catalan giants to secure the arrival of a top footballer in terms of being both a sporting prospect and an economic benefit.
Their rather fragile economic conditions limit Barcelona from pursuing the biggest names in the transfer market, yet there exists the possibility of working in collaboration with a particular side to guarantee the feasibility of a major operation.
Neymar Jr, former Barcelona hero, and current Paris Saint-Germain player, remains up for grabs for the Catalan outfit as recent reports have emerged linking the player to a potential return to the Catalan capital.
In recent news, according to Spanish outlet SPORT, the Brazilian superstar’s current team PSG would be reportedly willing to aid the 31-year-old forward’s departure to Barcelona as they believe it would be the best-case scenario for both entities.
At the moment, the relationship between PSG and Neymar Jr has become strained and the French outfit has come to the realization that the Brazilian star must make his way out of the club and has agreed with his understanding of the same degree.
As such, Barcelona becomes the prime location for the forward, despite the rather less-than-ideal relations between the Parisians and the Catalans.
The operation that is continuously being assessed is one that involves a third party in the shape of a Saudi Arabian club that would ensure the transfer of Neymar Jr and then loan him away to Barcelona for one season.
Adjusting the finances and salary responsibilities of the operation will be divided between both the Saudi Arabian club and Barcelona, but considering that the Catalans believe this remains the most feasible option to bring in Neymar, it may become a realistic possibility to keep an eye on.
Given Neymar’s current contract however, it will be necessary for the former Barcelona star to reduce his demands going forward if he wishes to make a homecoming to Spain, at least for the first season that would involve Barcelona.
