FC Barcelona have annihilated Real Valladolid at home with an immense victory. A 7-0 rout sees Hansi Flick’s team completely thrash their opponents in La Liga and keep their winning streak alive. For Barcelona, no win has probably been as satisfying as this in the league in recent years.
With a hattrick from Raphinha, and goals from the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Dani Olmo, Jules Kounde, and even Ferran Torres, Barça were head and shoulders above their opponents. Now, ahead of the international break, La Blaugrana have won all twelve points up for grabs.
Here are the player ratings for Barcelona.
Player Ratings:
Marc-Andre Ter Stegen: 6.0
The German goalkeeper finally gets his clean sheet. He did not have to do much to keep it though, as his defenders and forwards went crazy up ahead.
Alejandro Balde: 6.5
Great work from Alejandro Balde in terms of his defensive duties as he constantly tracked back to cover the opposition attackers. Did not get to do much offensively, but his contributions in that department were not exactly needed either.
Inigo Martinez: 7.5
Simply a wall that Real Valladolid could not seem to overcome, Inigo Martinez was clearly playing with the intention of winning every possible duel. Great performance from the Spanish veteran who showcased his experience.
Pau Cubarsi: 8.5
A strong display from Pau Cubarsi, who was defensively on top of his game. Made sure to keep the attackers he was marking at bay and tried his best to limit any space that Real Valladolid got, but he also provided a pinpoint assist to Raphinha that showcased his immense vision and passing range.
Jules Kounde: 8.0
An amazing first-half performance from Jules Kounde was wrapped up with a brilliant finish that ended up in the back of the net. His defensive solidity was consistent from start to finish, and this was easily one of his strongest displays this season.
Marc Casado: 7.5
Alongside Pedri, Marc Casado was running that midfield for Barcelona throughout the game. His relentless pressing, positional awareness, and quick distribution were all there to see and he has already shown signs that he can dominate as a defensive midfielder.
Pedri: 8.0
After his substitution, the standing ovation that he got was telling enough about what kind of an influence Pedri had in this game. Constantly linking up with his teammates and helping the team create some beautiful spells of play, Pedri was brilliant once again.
Raphinha: 10
What a performance from the Brazilian winger. A hattrick for Barcelona and a classy performance from start to finish. Even his corner to Jules Kounde for his goal may not have been a direct assist but it was a brilliant delivery as well. Even apart from his goal distributions, words can not do justice to the workrate he put on. Also managed to get an assist for the last goal of the game.
Dani Olmo: 8.5
Rather surprisingly, Dani Olmo seemed to be the least impactful of the forwards in this game. However, his passes and understanding of the game were clear to see and he may have gotten a few assists himself if the chances he created were finished. Ultimately, he also managed to get a goal before coming off for Pablo Torre.
Lamine Yamal: 9.5
A constant threat no matter what, Lamine Yamal is a bizarre talent. Yet another game where he managed to get not just one goal contribution, and his two assists in this game were a complete work of art. His dribbling, passing, and his movement were all commendable elements of his game today. Kept creating chances relentlessly throughout the game as well.
Robert Lewandowski: 9.0
Despite a shaky finish, Robert Lewandowski managed to get a goal yet again for Barcelona. That now makes it four goals in four games for him, and he has been the clinical striker that Barça need him to be right now. Solid display and also managed to get an assist for Raphinha.
Substitutes:
Fermin Lopez: 6.0
Energetic and constantly made life difficult for Real Valladolid.
Eric Garcia: 6.0
A solid cameo from the Spanish player.
Sergi Dominguez: 6.5
Made his debut for FC Barcelona’s first team. Seemed quite comfortable on the ball and never let the pressure get to him.
Ferran Torres: 7.0
Came in and made sure to grab a goal for himself that was assisted by Raphinha. Solid cameo for him as well.
Pablo Torre: N/A
Not enough influence or time on the field to warrant a rating.
