The pre-season El Clasicos have distinctly finished in Barcelona’s favour in recent seasons and the trend continued last night when Hansi Flick’s men took on Los Blancos in New Jersey. The game ended 2-1 in favor of the Catalan club.

Pau Victor was the man of the hour for Barcelona, scoring two goals on the night to follow up with his exquisite finish against Man City. Youngsters like Marc Bernal, Alex Valle, and Marc Casado also caught the eye with their performances.

Flick welcomed back a few first-teamers for the game against their Spanish rivals. One of those players who returned for the first time since last season was Raphinha, who was given an opportunity off the bench by the German coach.

After the game, the Brazilian winger posted pictures of himself from the match on his Instagram account. He also added a caption below the photos that read, ‘How good it is to wear this shirt again.’

This post from Raphinha comes at a time when his future at the club is far from certain. We covered a story a few days ago revealing that Al Nassr offered €100m to secure the services of the Brazilian forward.

The 27-year-old has been a Barcelona player for a couple of seasons now but despite being one of the team’s most consistent performers, especially last season, he has failed to win over the fanbase convincingly.

Amidst the precarious times that the club faces financially, Raphinha is considered one of the more sellable assets in the club. Every time there is talk of an offer, there are calls for the club to accept them.

Raphinha though does not stop reminding Cules of what it means for him to wear the Blaugrana shirt. He looks set to stay next season and let’s hope he can finally win over the fanbase.
