Ez Abde is one of the FC Barcelona players who is still being linked with a move away from the club even in these last hours of the transfer window. With the number of teams interested in him and the dynamics being proposed for his move, the Moroccan’s future is going to remain uncertain till the end of the summer window.
Abde spent the last season on loan at Osasuna, which proved to be a highly productive stint for the winger. He became a main cog in Jagoba Arrasate’s team, and helped them reach the final of the Copa del Rey.
Abde pushing for an exit
Abde returned to Barcelona this summer with the aim to impress Xavi and get a clear role in the squad. His performances in the pre-season and the competitive matches up to now have been satisfactory, and Xavi wants him to remain in the squad.
However, Abde himself is not satisfied with the game time he has got in La Liga this season, and thus has been pushing to leave the club for the last few days. The club has also agreed to his demands for a change of scenery, but has communicated it to the player that he will be allowed to leave only on a permanent transfer, and not on a loan.
Real Betis looking for creative solutions to sign Abde
There are multiple teams interested in the Barcelona forward, but one of the sides that has emerged as a strong contender for his signature in the last few days is Real Betis. According to SPORT, Betis are looking for creative solutions to get Abde this summer. For instance, they can go for a purchase of only 50% of the player’s rights or a loan with a purchase option with affordable conditions.
Barcelona and Betis have a long way to go before one of these options becomes a reality, but Real Betis are emerging as a highly probable destination for Abde. The winger wants to play regularly, and Betis can offer him such continuity in the starting lineup, something Barcelona cannot. Still, Xavi wants him to remain with the Barcelona squad, but would let him leave if a good amount comes in return for him.
