There have been demands of FC Barcelona to make some important sales during this summer. Beyond just needing to stabilize their financial fair play budgeting, the club also needs important revenue to reinvest in the transfer market. Fortunately for Barcelona, they seem to still possess some players with a good market abroad.
While some important first-team stars such as Raphinha continue to attract Middle Eastern offers, and other youngsters such as Marc Guiu have already departed for sides like Chelsea and are already trapped in the clutches of potential loan moves moving forward, there are others at Barça who are also attracting offers.
One such player is Brazilian talent Vitor Roque, and he recently caught the eye of Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal. The 19-year-old South American striker may not have hit the ground running in Barça, but the option of Al-Hilal presented him with an opportunity to have a new start.
Instead, however, the player has decided to not acknowledge the offer presented to him. According to Fabrizio Romano, Vitor Roque and his entourage have already rejected the offer that has arrived from Al-Hilal and the Saudi Arabian club has already started looking at alternative options.
This would mean that Roque still sees his future at FC Barcelona and the reports of him trying to prove himself to Hansi Flick are still very much alive and true. He may not have had much luck under the leadership of Xavi Hernandez, but it would appear that the young forward wants to have another go at it with the new Barcelona coach.
However, it seems that this will not be the last of what Barcelona hears from Saudi Arabia. While the arrangements after the recent club-to-club negotiations for Vitor Roque have not exactly inspired hope, the charge for another cemented star such as Raphinha remains alive with a reportedly massive offer on the table.
