Barcelona become the most recent target of the emergence of the teams from Saudi Arabia with their rather lucrative offers being presented to various clubs and players.
In this recent scenario, where the Catalans have looked and failed to find suitable suitors for one of their players within Europe, they now find themselves faced with the prospect of a deal presented by Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia for a particular Ivorian midfielder that the Catalans are hoping to offload.
Developing on the previous reports, Catalan journalist Gerard Romero has stated the details of the proposal that Al-Ahli have sent in the way of FC Barcelona and their 26-year-old midfielder, Franck Kessie, in his latest tweet.
The journalist’s information suggests that the current proposal on the table contains the offer of a €20 million transfer fee to acquire the player from Barcelona, and they have further offered the Ivorian midfielder a salary of €10 per season.
With departures becoming more and more necessary for the Catalan club, the current findings of the proposal by Al-Ahli will definitely be taken as a positive by FC Barcelona, as they look to maximize the revenue they can generate from the sale of Kessie given that he arrived as a free agent and all proceeds from his sale would count as net profit.
It remains to be seen whether, as earlier reports suggested, Al-Ahli will be sending an even more lucrative offer in the way of Franck Kessie as he looks to persuade the Middle Eastern club to increase the financial package involved to persuade him to move to Saudi Arabia and leave Europe behind.
For FC Barcelona, the move is a significant positive and one that they themselves will potentially look to cement in place as soon as possible to bring about a much-needed injection of funds and positive balance towards their ongoing battle with financial fair play.
